My cellular gateway is not reporting temperatures. What do I do?

The BlueRover cellular gateway has three sets of lights on the front. To diagnose the issue perform the following steps:

  1. Check if the green power light is turned on. This is the light located farthest to the left of the front of the device. If power is available to the gateway than this light will be lit up green. If this light is not on, power is not available to the gateway. Check that the plug has power available and is plugged in to both the gateway and the receptacle.

  2. The set of four lights on the right side of the gateway show both the status and the cellular signal strength of the connection. If these lights are scrolling back and forth that means the gateway is attempting a cellular connection. Reboot the device by unplugging the power, waiting 10 seconds, and plugging it back in. The lights will scroll back and forth for up to 3 minutes while the gateway attempts to make a cellular connection. If the lights never stop scrolling then a connection cannot be made. I have a sensor that has been damaged and is broken. How do I order a new sensor?

To order a new sensor, send an email to support@bluerover.ai to request a replacement.

Where should I place my sensor in the fridge or freezer?

The sensor can be placed almost anywhere in the fridge or freezer. We recommend installing it in a location that best represents the temperature of the cooling unit. For an undercounter or reach-in style fridge this is typically on the middle shelf located towards the door of the fridge. For a walk-in cooler or freezer the sensor is recommended to be installed on the wall beside the door.
